This report is intended to comply with the Standards presented by the Scientific Council of the Institute of Agronomy, Technical University of Lisbon, for Development of Professional Activity Report Integrator in accordance to paragraph 3 of art. 3 of the General Regulation of the Second Cycle Study leading to the degree of Master, approved by Order (extract) n. 10544/2011, published in the Official Gazette, 2. Series, n. 160, August 22, 2011, for ‘Pre-Bologna’ degrees and describes in detail the professional activities developed by the author. Accordingly, the information contained in the report was organized with the aim of showing his skills acquired through his academic education, further training and professional experience. To this end, it is made the presentation of the institutions where he worked and a description of the activities and responsibilities undertaken and skills developed. The author began the occupation as a trainee in IMAIAA - Institute for Agricultural Markets and Agro-Food Industry in Services Directorate of Plant Products - Sugar Division, having been integrated after 6 months at the Institute as a Senior Technician in the field of Engineering. The solid scientific training and access to knowledge in several areas of the Agronomy field, provided by Agricultural Engineering Degree, namely in Agricultural Economics and Rural Sociology, in the Instituto Superior de Agronomia, was fundamental to the development of his work during these 18 years, either in technical level either in the improvement of personal attributes. This report also describes his journey within the Policy and Planning Office (GPP), which provide him with the acquisition of other skills and experience, particularly in terms of defining the rules of the Common Agricultural Policy in the context of the common organization of agricultural markets, in the definition, monitoring and implementation of regulatory measures of the Community regulation of agricultural markets, ensuring representation in national, European and international instances in its area of competence.
