Análise multidimensional dos jogadores júnior B masculinos de futsal : diferenciação dos atletas em níveis de sucesso.

Na perspectiva do “Modelo de Diferenciação de Sobredotados e Talentos” de Gagné (2004), realizámos dois estudos com 90 jogadores (21 Guarda-Redes e 69 nas restantes posições) do escalão Júnior B, masculinos de futsal, que pertencem aos melhores clubes das três divisões do distrito de Lisboa (de acordo com a tabela classificativa em Dezembro de 2009). O primeiro estudo objectivou caracterizar os jogadores, em termos multidimensionais, e identificar as diferenças entre eles consoante a posição em jogo. No segundo, examinaram-se as variáveis diferenciadoras dos jogadores ao nível multidimensional, mas agora em divisões; analisaram-se os 10% melhores jogadores nessas variáveis; e estimou-se um modelo preditor do sucesso. Para travar as predilecções idiossincráticas por jovens com vantagens maturacionais ou experiência desportiva, homogeneizaram-se estatisticamente essas variáveis. No primeiro estudo concluiu-se que os guarda-redes apresentaram uma caracterização fisiológica e antropométrica muito distinta dos outros jogadores. No segundo, a agilidade apresentou-se como a variável mais discriminatória entre os jogadores das diferentes divisões. Na análise dos 10% melhores, afigurou-se uma relação favorável entre a agilidade e as outras variáveis consideradas importantes para este desporto. O melhor modelo de estimação de sucesso, prevendo a probabilidade de um jogador estar na primeira divisão, incluiu as variáveis “anos de prática” e “agilidade”.

At the perspective of the “Differentiated Model of Giftedness and Talent” of Gagné (2004) two studies were done in futsal with 90 Junior B male players (21 Goalkeepers and 69 other players), pertaining to the three divisions of the Lisbon district (according to the league classification of December 2009). The first study characterized the players, at a multidimensional level, and identified the differences between the goalkeepers and other positions. The second explored the variables that differentiated players according to the division, also at a multidimensional level; analyzed the 10% best players in these variables; and estimated a model to predict success. To stop the idiosyncratic predilections by young players with maturational advantages, or sport experience, these variables were statistically homogenized. On the first study, conclusions revealed significant physiological and anthropometrical differences between the goalkeepers and other players. On the second, agility emerged as the most discriminatory variable among players in different divisions. At the 10% best player’s analysis, a favorable relationship between the agility and other significant variables of futsal was discovered. The best estimation model to foreseen the probability of a player being in the first division, included the variables “years of practice” and “agility”.
