Knowing the workplace involves, among other aspects, taking information about the culture, the people, the history and the role of the organization within the society. A suitable reception and integration process gives the employee the opportunity to know the culture of the organization in which he / she is joining. For the employee, the knowledge of the workplace is decisive for the good performance of the professional activities. For the organization, in turn, a well-received and integrated collaborator becomes more committed and knowledgeable of his duties and the posture that he must have professionally. The integration seeks to adapt the collaborator to the culture and work environment. This process of welcoming and integrating a collaborator is part of a larger process of socialization. In order to socialize a new member, there are strategies, one of which is the presentation of a Welcoming Manual, offered to professionals during the admission process. There is no formula or script for the manual. The important thing is that it contains the information that the organization considers indispensable to integrate the new collaborators. This work sought to collaborate with the process of socialization and integration of new servants of the Instituto Federal do Triângulo Mineiro, through the proposal of a Welcoming Manual. The method used was action research, involving both the investigator and the group involved. The intervention consisted of the provision of a proposal for a Welcoming Manual to the IFTM servants, who expressed their opinion about the document. The analysis of the results showed that the proposal is able to improve the process of integration and socialization of new servants.
