Deviance in the working place is a generalized problem in organizational settings having harmful consequences. Fraud, theft and expense-fiddling stand out among other deviant behaviours which may impose serious costs upon organizations. The first step in controlling these practices is to understand the factors that underlie such behaviours. A literature review of the subject reveals that employee perceptions of organizational justice play a fundamental role in its occurrence.Due to its importance, fraud and theft have attracted considerable attention on the part of researchers, but expense-fiddling has been less studied.
