Em todo o mundo existem países onde os dirigíveis estão a ser utilizados para fins civis (turismo) e militares (vigilância). O renascimento deste meio de transporte que é capaz de facilmente superar algumas deficiências dos transportes convencionais, acarreta a médio e longo prazo benefícios económicos. Além disso, os dirigíveis oferecem diferentes serviços a custos mais baixos, e também podem estimular novas atividades comerciais, industriais e até mesmo novas rotas transacionais. Tomando os princípios do desenvolvimento sustentável do transporte aéreo, os dirigíveis são os mais amigos do ambiente veículos com menor consumo de combustível e com maior resistência. Portanto, como resultado, eles estão abrindo o caminho para novos mercados.

All over the world there are several countries where airships are being used for military and civilian purposes. The rebirth of this mean of transportation, capable of easily overcoming some deficiencies of the conventional ones, brings medium and long term economic benefits. In addition, they offer different services at lower costs, and they also may stimulate new commercial and industrial activities and even new transactional routes. Taking the principles of sustainable development of air transport, airships are the most environment-friendly vehicles with lower fuel consumption and with higher endurance. Therefore, as a result, they are paving the way for new markets.
