Descrição

Mestrado em Engenharia do Ambiente - Tecnologias Ambientais - Instituto Superior de Agronomia

Among the many productive activities in our society, two are notorious for their relevance in environmental pollution: urban production of waste and poultry manure from animal breeding activities This in situ incubation using the method of "litterbag" intended to study the mineralization of municipal solid waste (MSW) and poultry manure through the burial of the wastes near the roots of three woody species: Blue Gum, Willow and Black Cottonwood; and three herbaceous species: Sugar Cane, Giant Cane and Elephant Grass, as on a bare soil plot as control. This experiment was performed for 365 days. One year after the burial of the bags, these were collected, weighted for mineralization estimate and the remaining residues, as well as the soil in the rhizosphere were fractionated for the organic matter (lipids, sugars, cellulose and lignin).
