Do they need us? Linking functional indispensability and voice behavior: The ro...

Alves, D.; Duarte, A. P.; Rosa, M.; Silva, S. da.

This study looked into how workers’ perception of their team’s functional indispensability motivates them to engage in promotive voice behavior. The mediating role of psychological ownership and the moderator roles of job insecurity and organizational ambidexterity were also examined. Data from 820 Portuguese workers from different business sectors were analyzed using multiple regression techniques. Results ind...

Dermatophytosis is a common dermatological infection, affecting humans, pets, domestic ruminants and wild animals. They are a cause for concern as they represent a risk to public and animal health. The aim of this study was to describe the occurrence of dermatophyte infection in wild mammals (road-killed and hunted) in Portugal. Fungal isolation was performed in the fur and scales of 101 wild mammals. Based on ...

Six transiting planets and a chain of Laplace resonances in TOI-178

Leleu, A.; Alibert, Y.; Hara, N. C.; Hooton, M. J.; Wilson, T. G.; Robutel, P.; Delisle, J. -B.; Laskar, J.; Hoyer, S.; Lovis, C.; Bryant, E. M.

Determining the architecture of multi-planetary systems is one of the cornerstones of understanding planet formation and evolution. Resonant systems are especially important as the fragility of their orbital configuration ensures that no significant scattering or collisional event has taken place since the earliest formation phase when the parent protoplanetary disc was still present. In this context, TOI-178 h...

AdoPt Project - Adoptive families’ strengths, difficulties and service needs: A...

Barbosa-Ducharne, M. A.; Soares, J.; Baptista, J.; Alves, D.; Cruz, O.; Abreu-Lima, I.; Canário, C.; Magalhães, E.

Introduction:Together with many positive experiences, adoption brings stress and difficulties. In Portugal, about 1/15 preadoption placements is disrupted. In Europe, 1 in 25 adoptions fail. International data show that around 1/4 adoptions undergo major difficulties that threaten stability/permanence. Portuguese research on these matters is currently very limited. Aims: The goal of this poster is to present a ...

Occurrence of Talaromyces marneffei in wild mammals in Portugal

Matos, Ana Cristina; Alves, D.; Saraiva, Sofia; Figueira, Luís; Soares, Ana Sofia; Matos, Manuela; Coelho, Ana Cláudia

Talaromyces marneffei is a thermally dimorphic fungus that is endemic in some parts of Asia causing a fatal systemic mycosis in immunocompromised patients. The aim of this study was to evaluate the occurrence of T. marneffei in the fur of wild mammals in Portugal.

Influence of Al/Si atomic ratio on optical and electrical properties of magnetr...

Costa, Pedro Miguel Pinto; Al-Rjoub, A.; Rebouta, L.; Manninen, Nora Kristiina Alves Sousa; Alves, D.; Almeida, B. G.; Barradas, N. P.; Alves, E.

This work presents a study on the influence of the Al/Si atomic ratio in dc magnetron sputtered Al1-xSixOy amorphous and transparent films upon their chemical composition, films' structure, optical and electrical properties. Increasing silicon in Al1-xSixOy films, from 0 at.% up to 31.1 at.%, caused an increment of deposition rate and an increment in Al-O-Si energy bonds as confirmed by X-Ray Photoelectron Spec...

We report a case of Talaromyces marneffei skin infection in an Egyptian mongoose ( Herpestes ichneumon) in Portugal. The isolated fungus was identified through its mycologic characteristics, morphology, and PCR amplification.

Imaging exhumed lower continental crust in the distal Jequitinhonha basin, Brazil

Loureiro, Afonso; Schnürle, P.; Klingelhoefer, Frauke; Afilhado, Alexandra; Pinheiro, J.; Evain, Mikael; Gallais, F.; Dias, Nuno; Rabineau, Marina

Twelve combined wide-angle refraction and coincident multi-channel seismic profiles were acquired in the Jequitinhonha-Camamu-Almada, Jacuípe, and Sergipe-Alagoas basins, NE Brazil, during the SALSA experiment in 2014. Profiles SL11 and SL12 image the Jequitinhonha basin, perpendicularly to the coast, with 15 and 11 four-channel ocean-bottom seismometers, respectively. Profile SL10 runs parallel to the coast, c...

Pinheiro, J. M.; Schnurle, P.; Evain, Mikael; Afilhado, Alexandra; Gallais, F.; Klingelhoefer, Frauke; Loureiro, Afonso; Fuck, R.; Soares, J.

The structure and nature of the crust underlying the Camamu-Almada-Jequitinhonha-Sergipe-Alagoas basins System, in the NE Brazilian margin, were investigated based on the interpretation of 12 wide-angle seismic profiles acquired during the SALSA (Sergipe ALagoas Seismic Acquisition) experiment in 2014. In this work, we present two 220-km-long NW-SE combined wide-angle and reflection seismic profiles, SL 01 and ...
