Este capítulo tem como objetivo analisar a dinâmica da mobilidade estudantil no contexto da CPLP, usando especificamente uma perspetiva pós-colonial / decolonial. Para isso, examina em que medida o discurso oficial da CPLP reproduz e reforça as práticas da colonialidade ou se, pelo contrário, contribui para a construção de um espaço igualitário e democrático para a mobilidade estudantil.
O capítulo apresenta o caso de académicos brasileiros em Portugal e argumenta que, apesar da expetativa de que mobilidade académica traga benefícios para a formação de redes associativas internacionais e com o país de origem, isso não é verificado acontecer de forma significativa neste contexto.
