Participaram 460 mulheres, com mais de 14 anos de idade, com escolaridade superior ao 1.º ciclo do ensino básico, que constituíram uma amostra de conveniência. Responderam a um questionário de auto preenchimento, que incluía a caracterização sócio demográfica e uma escala de atitudes para com a amamentação.
