Furthermore, based on the information extracted by this list, we tackled additional questions regarding the taxa, the specialists involved in the species descriptions as well as the journals in which those papers have been published. Although Pantophthalmidae is widely distributed in Brazil, in some regions, such as the Amazon basin, there is a dearth of studies on the family. In this work, we record the occurrence of Pantophthalmus chuni (Enderlein, 1912) and Pantophthalmus comptus Enderlein, 1912 for the state of Roraima for the first time.
