Resumo Os métodos contracetivos são fundamentais na dinâmica da sociedade atual. São amplamente utilizados, sendo explorados também os seus benefícios não contracetivos. No entanto, temas controversos persistentemente associados são o risco tromboembólico e o risco de desenvolvimento de neoplasias.
