This integrative literature review aims to provide a broader and updated perspective of teachers’ intergenerational learning (IL). The search was done in Web of Science and EBSCO ultimate databases between 2011 and 2022. Thirty-two empirical studies were selected and submitted to a thematic analysis and five themes were identified: (a) defining and conceptualising generation, (b) IL from understandings to pract...
Mucormycosis is an uncommon, life-threatening infection caused by opportunistic fungi included in the Mucorales order, which mostly affects immunosuppressed patients. Leprosy is an infectious disease whose causative agent are the bacillus Mycobacterium leprae and Mycobacterium lepromatosis. It preferably affects the skin and peripheral nerves. Disseminate and recurrent infundibulo-folliculitis is a rare entity of unknown etiology, characterized clinically by a papular and follicular eruption and histologically by spongiotic changes in the infundibular portion of the hair follicle. It usually occurs in young adults males with phototype V-VI of Fitzpatrick. The dermatosis habitually reaches the trunk and limbs, has a recurrent course and is characteriz...
Sungungual keratoacanthoma is a rare and more aggressive variant of keratoacanthoma. The authors present a case of a 49-year-old male with a one year history of a growing exophytic nodule on the nail bed of the left first toe. Physical examination revealed a two centimeters large exofitic nodule with a verrucous hyperkeratotic central area on the nail bed. A plain radiograph showed a cup-shaped lytic defect in ...
A 23-year-old man, phototype V, complained of abrupt onset of painful skin lesions on the hands, which 4 days later spread to the feet. Physical examination revealed a symmetrical acral dermatosis over the dorsum of the feet, ankles, hands, and wrists: pustules, erythematous–violaceous papules, and hemorrhagic crusts. There were no mucosal or systemic signs and the patient denied any prodromal symptoms.
The coexistence of two or more different neoplasms, benign or malignant, in the same cutaneous lesion is called a "collision tumor”. The clinical diagnosis is difficult and dermatoscopy is an often useful tool, however it may not be enlightening. We present the case of a rare association between a blue nevus and a histiocytofibroma that both clinically and dermatoscopically could be confused with malignant mela...

Vitamin D deficit has been associated with an increased risk for various diseases, including autoimmune, neoplastic, cardiovascular and neurological disorders. However, areas of controversy remain: a direct cause-effec...
