A 19 de maio de 2023 foi assinado um Acordo de Cooperação entre a, então, Secretaria Regional da Agricultura e do Desenvolvimento Rural, atualmente Secretaria Regional da Agricultura e Alimentação (SRAA) e a Associação BIOPOLIS (Universidade do Porto). O acordo tem a duração de cinco anos e visa o desenvolvimento de um “Programa de investigação em espécies cinegéticas nos Açores”.
