The Association of Healthcare Professionals of Alto Tâmega – Growing Up Healthy, hereinafter referred to as APSAT, is a private, non-profit association governed by the provisions of applicable law and its own articles of association. APSAT was founded on 9 February 2023, on the initiative of a group of nurses and doctors working at the Chaves Hospital Unit of the Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro Local Health Unit (ULSTMAD). APSAT aims to contribute to improving the quality of care provided, by valuing and recognising the work of healthcare professionals, through the promotion of their continuous professional development within a framework of lifelong learning, and by encouraging the acquisition and updating of knowledge in their field of interest.
