Objective: This study investigates the potential of herbal Rhynchelytrum Repens (RR), compared to type 1 diabetes (Diabetes) induced by Alloxan 42 mg/kg/p.c. intravenous (ALX) or not performing regular anaerobic exercise. Methods: 80 male rats (Wistar), 90 days, ± 300g weight, daily intake of RR, were divided into eight groups: 10 healthy animals, without RR (GCN); 10 healthy animals, without RR, with anaerobic exercise (GCNE); 10 healthy animals, with RR (GCNR); 10 healthy animals, with RR, with anaerobic exercise (GCNRE); 10 animals with diabetes by ALX without RR (GD); 10 animals with diabetes by ALX without RR and anaerobic exercise (GDE); 10 animals with diabetes by ALX, with RR (GDR); 10 animals with diabetes by ALX, with RR and anaerobic exercise (GDRE). Animals whose blood glucose level ≥ 110mg/dl were considered diabetic. Supplementation for whit RR were used 1L H2O/100g plant, replacing the water. Results: With the RR associated with exercise, decreased glucose levels for longer. At the end of practice, levels resembled early. Compared with sedentary glucose levels in diabetic rats with and without RR, this was effective hypoglycemic, as in diabetic rats associated with exercise, was effective in much of the training, but with continued exercise levels in anaerobic glucose data were close to the original. Conclusion: It is proposed that such observations contribute to the therapeutic approach to these animals, thus enabling a new perspective on the treatment and control of diabetes.
