This work has the objective to study the children´s Cavalhadinhas of Pirenópolis – GO. The sociability during the religious party is a way to still keep alive the social relations and a mechanism of learning for the children, that in the case studied here contributes to teach and to educate on the importance to preserve the so rich tradition of this city that they are the Cavalhadas, keeping strong the values of identity and the memory, in which this is part of the Brazilian cultural patrimony. We can observe three categories of the Cavalhadinhas´s history, where since the oldest times this was part of the daily life of the children, in an informal way: second of one it forms more structuralized being organized for João Luiz Pompeu de Pina and third when it changed itself into an official event for the tourism. The Cavalhadinhas distinguishes for having the proper children the initiative of the party to happen, valuing and giving to credibility for this tradition invented that keeps living creature the Brazilian folklore.

Este trabalho tem como objetivo estudar as Cavalhadinhas das crianças de Pirenópolis. A sociabilidade durante as festas religiosas é um meio de manter viva as relações sociais e ainda um mecanismo de aprendizado para as crianças. No caso aqui estudado, contribui para ensinar e educar sobre a importância de preservar a tradição tão rica desta cidade, que são as Cavalhadas, mantendo forte os valores da identidade e da memória, no qual faz parte do patrimônio cultural brasileiro. Observam-se três categorias da história das Cavalhadinhas, em que desde os tempos mais antigos fazia parte da vida cotidiana das crianças, de uma maneira informal; a segunda, de uma forma mais estruturada, sendo organizada por João Luiz Pompeu de Pina e a terceira, quando se transforma em um evento oficial para o turismo. As Cavalhadinhas se particularizam por terem as próprias crianças a iniciativa da festa acontecer, valorizando-as e dando credibilidade por esta “tradição inventada”, que mantém vivo o folclore brasileiro.
