A imagem sempre foi um dos principais meios de comunicação e informação na história. Neste contexto, visou-se a união da imagem e do tesauro, com objetivos didáticos. A proposta deste trabalho é estudar os pré-requisitos que a imagem deve ter para complementar um conceito específico. Para isso, o conceito e o funcionamento da função comunicativa voltada para a imagem foram analisados e estudados sob o ponto de vista da Semiologia e da Semiótica, assim como a significação, que é o ponto chave dessa discussão. Discute-se como apresentar adequadamente a informação de fonte imagética sem comprometer seu significado. A Teoria do Conceito é o pilar que define as características da imagem, baseado nas características essenciais. Como metodologia, fez-se a comparação de algumas plantas medicinais a fim de entender como a imagem deve ser para definir este assunto.
Image has always been one of the main means of both communication and information in history. That said, the vision of this study is to gather image and thesaurus, with didactical intent. Therefore, this research focus on studying the prerequisites an image must have in order to supplement a specific concept. In this regard, both theory and operation of the image-oriented communicative function were analyzed under the perspective of Semiology and Semiotics, as well as Signification, which is the key element of this discussion. It is examined how to adequately present imagery source image without jeopardizing its meaning. The Concept Theory is the foundation that defines image’s characteristics, based on elementary features. The research method is rooted in the comparison of some medicinal plants in furtherance of better understanding how image must be to define this subject.
