Nesta monografia, apresento uma análise da obra Declínio do Homem do autor Osamu Dazai à luz do ensaio filosófico O Mito de Sísifo , escrito pelo famoso autor e filósofo argelino, Albert Camus. A partir da observação dos elementos oferecidos pelo texto, propomos considerar a personagem principal Yozo como um homem absurdo, seguindo a linha existencialista oferecida pelo argelino. Considerando as tentativas de suicídio da personagem, discuto brevemente com a visão de suicídio de Camus, de modo a estabelecer a relação entre o homem absurdo e o suicídio. Para amparar essa análise, embasada por bibliografia pertinente às obras, discuto o movimento burai-ha , assim como o watakushi shôsetsu , como movimentos literários absurdos, propondo como a alma do watakushi shôsetso pode ser identificada na literatura de Dazai.

In this monograph, I present an analysis of the work No Longer Human by the author Osamu Dazai by the light of the philosophical essay The Myth of Sisyphus, written by the famous Algerian author and philosopher, Albert Camus. From the observation of the elements offered by the text, we propose to consider the main character Yozo as an absurd man, following the existentialist line offered by the Algerian. Considering the suicide attempts of the character, I briefly discuss Camus' suicide vision, in order to establish the relationship between the absurd man and the suicide. To support this analysis, based on bibliography pertinent to the works, I discuss the burai-ha movement, as well as watakushi shôsetsu , as absurd literary movements, proposing how the soul of watakushi shôsetso can be found in Dazai’s literature.
