This article reflects about the ethical procedures from an anthropological research made in three health institutions that provides healthcare for people with type 1 and type 2 diabetes, in Lisbon Metropolitan Area. The fieldwork includes semi-directed interviews to people diagnosed with diabetes, whom have medical support, and to health professionals. Taking a further specific look to the Ethic Commissions on Health and to the Informed Consent as participating parts of the research. Through these elements I reflected about the ethic issues in the qualitative research, and the politics of ethic that were still under the biomedical domain.

Este artigo reflete sobre os processos éticos na pesquisa qualitativa em saúde a partir de um trabalho de investigação em antropologia realizado em três instituições de saúde que prestam cuidados a pessoas com diabetes de tipo 1 e 2, na Área Metropolitana de Lisboa. O trabalho de campo incluiu entrevistas semi-directivas a pessoas com diagnóstico de diabetes e com acompanhamento médico, e a profissionais de saúde. Olha-se mais especificamente os pedidos de parecer às Comissões de Ética em Saúde e a Folha de Consentimento Informado como partes integrantes da pesquisa. A partir destes elementos reflete-se sobre a ética na pesquisa qualitativa e as políticas de ética, que se mantiveram sob o domínio da biomedicina.
