A quarter of a century after the 25th of April 1974, it seems appropriate to try to take stock of one of the many processes that the political turnaround in Portugal has made possible, namely the constitution, within the social sciences, of a new field of knowledge - African Studies.
Passado um quarto de século sobre o 25 de Abril de 1974, parece oportuno tentar um primeiro balanço de um dos muitos processos de viragem política em Portugal tornou possível, a saber, o da constituição, no âmbito de ciências sociais, de um novo domínio do saber – o dos Estudos Africanos.
