This article deals with the phenomenological approach of the biranian ontology realized by Michel Henry in the work Philosophie et phénoménologie du corps, published in 1965 (although written by the author in the years of 1948-1949, like chapter designed for the work L’Essence de la manifestation, completed in 1961 and published in 1963). More precisely, we will try to explain and present the Henan analysis of body and movement from Maine de Biran. Our body is first and foremost a living body which, besides movement, is also to feel, so that it is from this corporeity, from this immediate pathos, that the knowledge about the body emerges that has been so much attracted by the most celebrated philosophers throughout history of philosophy. So what does the relation of movement and feeling tell us about the specificity of the body? Or, what can we say about movement, action and feeling from the body, from the body’s own powers? This body, which is at the same time the place of Life, which, besides a set of needs, desires and powers, is simultaneously suffering and enjoying, suffering and rejoicing, or even the possibility of despair of oneself.
