Para Lucien Sfez, se existem dois ou vários tempos diversificados, esta oposição é menos radical do que parece. Trata-se, preferencialmente, de um jogo complexo de diferenças que afetam as temporalidades, tanto da mídia como aquelas da democracia vivida pelos cidadãos.
