O presente estudo, continuando a série das contribuições para a flora amazônica, representa ao mesmo tempo um esboço da florula local de um distrito bem caracterizado pelas feições topográficas, hidrográficas e phytophysiognomicas, isto é, da região das matas que cobrem os terrenos baixos cortados pelos furos que unem o Amazonas com o Rio Pará.
The present study, continuing the series of contributions to the Amazonian flora, represents at the same time an outline of the local florula of a district well characterized by the topographical, hydrographical and phytophysiognomic features, that is, the region of the forests that cover the low lands cut by the Holes that link the Amazon with the Pará River.
