Description
Pregnancy is a life-changing event in which women must face their own emotions, such as fear related to childbirth. Midwives are well-positioned to support pregnant women experiencing this fear, and appropriate interventions can enhance their well-being and positively influence their perinatal experiences. However, little is known about how such interventions should be structured — a knowledge gap that presents a challenge to both the international community and midwifery practice. This study aims to achieve a consensus on the relevant components that should be considered when outlining a midwife intervention program for pregnant women with fear of childbirth.
