O presente estudo tem como tema compreender os fundamentos ontológicos pelos quais Santo Agostinho concebe o agir humano. Primeiramente concentra-se em uma análise da condição humana, a qual o autor compreende como dependente do Ser-Deus para realizar-se ontologicamente no plano da ordem. Tal relação foi comprometida pelo “pecado original”, por isso, o ponto nevrálgico da ética para o autor, consiste na restauração desta relação originária da vida humana, da qual dependem todas as outras relações. É neste sentido, que se analisam as possibilidades e os limites de a razão humana compreender este Ser que a transcende, bem como a ordem do universo que nele se fundamenta e que revelam ao homem os princípios pelos quais somos e devemos agir. Posteriormente o estudo se concentra na análise do conceito de “encarnação”, que o autor toma do cristianismo, através do qual, em sua visão, se expressam os princípios morais fundamentais do agir humano. Por fim, buscamos elucidar alguns destes princípios, especificamente o mais importante deles, a caritas, pelos quais Agostinho entende que o homem deve ser e agir, a fim de restabelecer sua relação originária com o Ser, edificar a paz na ordem social e conquistar a felicidade.
This study is subject to understand the ontological grounds on which St. Augustine conceives of human action. First focuses on an analysis of the human condition, which the author understands as a dependent of Being - God to be held ontologically in terms of order. This relationship has been compromised by the "original sin", therefore, the critical point of ethics to the author, is the restoration of this relationship originated in human life, which depend all other relations. In this sense, which analyzes the possibilities and limits of human reason to understand this Being that transcends, and the order of the universe which it is based and which show you the principles by which we are and we must act. Later the study focuses on the analysis of the concept of "incarnation", the author takes of Christianity , through which , in his view , expressed the fundamental moral principles of human action . Finally, we seek to elucidate some of these principles, specifically the most important of them, the Caritas, in which Augustine believes that the man should be and act in order to restore its original relationship with the Being, build peace in the social order and conquer happiness.
