O objetivo da pesquisa desenvolvida foi compreender a forma como a cultura material pode contribuir para a construção da memória e da identidade de determinado grupo. Dessa maneira, o grupo estudado foi a Faculdade de Enfermagem da Universidade Federal de Pelotas. A escolha por pesquisar esse grupo se deu justamente pela vontade de memória que apresenta, seja através da preservação de seus documentos, fotografias e objetos, seja através das comemorações em datas festivas, quando expõem os objetos representativos de sua história e memória. Sendo assim, através de discussões embasadas nos autores que discorrem acerca dos temas da memória, da identidade e da cultura material, foi possível traçar suas relações. Além disso, buscando estudar esses objetos através das perspectivas da Museologia, propor modelos para sua extroversão, pensado através do conceito de musealização, de modo que seja possível aplicá-lo a outras unidades universitárias que demonstrem a mesma vontade de memória.
The aim of the developed research was to understand the way in which material culture can contribute for the construction of memory and identity of a particular group. Thus, the group studied was the School of Nursing from the Federal University of Pelotas. The choice of researching this group was given by the willingness of memory that it presents, be it through preserving their documents, photos and objects or through celebrations of festive dates, when they expose the representative objects of their history and memory. Therefore, through discussions based on authors who talk about memory, identity and material culture themes, it was possible to trace their relations. Furthermore, seeking to study these objects through the perspectives of museology, to propose models for their extroversion, thought through the concept of Musealization, so that it can be applied to other university units that demonstrate the same willingness of memory.
