O presente estudo tem como objetivo realizar uma pesquisa etnográfica sobre os moradores do bairro Vencato, situado na cidade de Jaguarão, Rio Grande do Sul. Nesta pesquisa busquei analisar como se deu a transformação do bairro no tempo e no espaço, para que se possa entender o habitar a cidade pelas margens. Problematizo o paradoxo do bairro ser estigmatizado na cidade como um lugar violento. Porém, quando caminho pelo Vencato, percebo a grande circulação de crianças pelas ruas. A partir da circulação das crianças, das histórias das famílias e das aulas de capoeira, realizo a observação participante, buscando compreender as concepções de infância do lugar.
This study aims to conduct an ethnographic research on the residents of the Vencato neighborhood, located in the city of Jaguarão, Rio Grande do Sul. In this, I sought to analyze how the transformation of the neighborhood took place in time and space, so that we can understand o inhabiting the city by the banks. I problematize the paradox of the neighbohood being a stigmatized in the city as a violent place, but when i walk through Vencato, i notice the movement of children through the streets. I notice the large circulation of children through the streets. From the circulation of children, family histories and capoeira classes, I perform participant observation, seeking to understand the conceptions of childhood.
