O presente trabalho é uma investigação sobre a unidade da razão no pensamento de Kant e a relação existente entre razão teórica e prática. Para Kant a razão é uma só e, dessa forma, o teórico e o prático encontram-se intimamente relacionados na filosofia de Kant. O filósofo alemão ainda considera que a razão prática possui prioridade frente ao uso teórico da razão, uma vez que cabe a ela nossa orientação no mundo e a capacidade de criar ações e fazer com que o sujeito livre atue no mundo. O que une os dois domínios distintos da razão, o teórico e o prático, é a característica sistemática que nossa razão apresenta. A razão é ordenada pela ideia de sistema, sistema entendido como uma instância maior que organiza e ordena a particularidade de nossos conhecimentos. Dessa forma, o teórico e o prático aparecem como ordenados em um sistema maior que reconhece ambas as esferas como constituintes fundamentais da faculdade racional humana. A unidade da razão é para Kant uma necessidade para que não percebamos nossas faculdades racionais como fragmentárias e desunidas, mas sim como estruturadas em um conjunto organizado e coerente que garante a cognoscibilidade do discurso teórico e prático no campo da filosofia.
The present work is an investigation into the unity of reason in Kant's thought and the relation between theoretical and practical reason. For Kant, reason is only one, and thus the theoretical and the practical are closely related in Kant's philosophy. The German philosopher still considers that practical reason has priority over the theoretical use of reason, since it is our responsibility in the world and the ability to create actions and make the free subject to act in the world. What unites the two distinct domains of reason, the theoretical and the practical, is the systematic characteristic that our reason presents. Reason is ordered by the idea of system, system understood as a larger instance that organizes and orders the particularity of our knowledge. In this way, the theoretical and the practical appear as ordered in a larger system that recognizes both spheres as fundamental constituents of the rational human faculty. The unity of reason is for Kant a need for us not to perceive our rational faculties as fragmentary and disjointed, but as structured in an organized and coherent set that guarantees the knowability of theoretical and practical discourse in the field of philosophy.
