Esta pesquisa trata da análise dos processos educativos dentro dos terreiros de Umbanda na cidade de Pelotas/RS, através da figura de seus Caciques. O objetivo central é indagar acerca dos conhecimentos transmitidos através da oralidade e da experiência dos sujeitos envolvidos. Como metodologia foi utilizada a entrevista narrativa (EN), de Sandra Jovchelovitch, adaptada aos interesses da pesquisa. Nesta perspectiva são apresentadas as narrativas de dois caciques e a análise dos dados foi realizada através da relação entre as narrativas dos entrevistados e autores que subsidiam as reflexões contidas nesse trabalho, entre eles: Walter Benjamin (2012), Miguel Arroyo (2014) e Boaventura de Sousa Santos (2010). Os resultados encontrados nos permitem corroborar a conceituação proposta por Arroyo (2014), configurando as narrativas dos Caciques de Umbanda enquanto Outros Sujeitos oriundos de Outras Pedagogias.
This research treats the educational processes analysis within of Umbanda territories in the Pelotas/RS city, through the figure of its Caciques. The main objective is to inquire about the knowledge, transmitted through oral tradition and experience of those involved. The methodology used was the narrative interview (EN), of Sandra Jovchelovitch, adapted to the interests of the research. In this perspective, its presents the narratives of two caciques and the data analysis was made using the relationship between the narratives of the interviewees and authors that subsidize the reflections contained in this work, as: Walter Benjamin (2012), Miguel Arroyo (2014) and Boaventura de Sousa Santos (2010). The findings results allow us to support the concept proposed by Arroyo (2014) that allow us to configure the narratives of the Caciques of Umbanda as Other Subjects from Other Pedagogies.
