Sendo a cultura uma importante ferramenta para a dinamização do conhecimento e da informação, capaz de inserir toda uma população dentro da cidade legal através do desenvolvimento do seu pensamento crítico e fortalecimento de sua identidade e ressaltando a necessidade e a importância de equipamentos comunitários acessíveis a todos, este trabalho tem como fim analisar de que forma se dá o planejamento e a implantação dos equipamentos culturais nos espaços urbanos e suas relações com o entorno, população e região e conceber, a nível de anteprojeto, a criação de um centro cultural na região de Palmas Sul. De forma a se analisar o melhor lugar para a implantação do equipamento comunitário em Palmas, foram realizados diversos estudos mediante a plataforma de mapeamento e análise, conhecida como SIG – Sistema de Informação Geográfica objetivando a locação de um equipamento eficaz e condizente ao meio inserido. O Centro Cultural Artculações surge para dinamizar o acesso à cultura, à arte e ao lazer em um entorno imediato carente de equipamentos, oportunidades e desenvolvimento.
