Este trabalho tem por finalidade apresentar um estudo do qual foi realizado na Escola Centro de Ensino Médio Girassol de Tempo Integral Deputado Darcy Marinho localizada no município de Tocantinópolis - TO, a fim de analisar a integração e inclusão de alunos com deficiência auditiva dentro da escola, para em seguida compreender se a mesma trabalha no modelo de inclusão ou integração no sistema educacional. Para tanto, foi necessário iniciar este trabalho apresentando com base em livros, artigos e revistas, o percurso pelo qual passou a história da educação especial e tendo como base contribuições de autores como Aranha (2005), Corrêa (2010), Rodrigues (2008), Mantoan (2003), Brasil (1994) dentre outros. Em seguida para embasamento da pesquisa foi realizado observações e aplicado um questionário contendo perguntas para os professores (as) que ministram aulas e também para a professora interprete de Libras que acompanha o aluno na referida instituição. Desta forma pode-se destacar o quão importante é o processo de inclusão para o aluno deficiente auditivo dentro escola auxiliando no seu processo de ensino aprendizagem e de seu desenvolvimento social.
The purpose of this paper is to present a study which was carried out at Deputy Darcy Marinho Girassol High School Center, located in the city of Tocantinópolis - TO, in order to analyze the integration and inclusion of students with hearing impairment in the school, and then to understand. if it works in the model of inclusion or integration in the educational system. Therefore, it was necessary to start this work by presenting, based on books, articles and magazines, the path through which the history of special education passed, based on the contributions of Aranha (2005) Corrêa (2010), Rodrigues (2008), Mantoan (2003), Brazil (1994) among others. Then for locus research, observations were made and a questionnaire was applied containing questions for teachers who teach classes and also for the interpreter teacher of Libras who accompanies the student in that institution. Thus, it is highlighted how important is the inclusion process for the hearing impaired student in school in the regular education system helping in their teaching process learning and their social development.
