O propósito desta dissertação é tentar apreender as mudanças geradas pelo processo de reestruturação produtiva no setor de telecomunicações, mais especificamente na empresa CTBC Telecom, e verificar os impactos desta tendência, principalmente sobre o mercado de trabalho. A periodização adotada compreende os anos entre 1988 e 1998, período que concentrou as maiores mudanças no setor e na empresa estudada. Sem desconsiderar os problemas conjunturais vividos pelo país nos últimos anos, o estudo permitiu explicitar os eixos fundamentais de como se deu e vem se dando a estratégia da empresa frente a todas estas transformações, mostrando que também na CTBC Telecom, seguindo uma lógica global, o investimento produtivo é também intensivo em capital e não em trabalho, e que os impactos advindos do processo de reestruturação foram destrutivos para o mercado de trabalho no que se refere às formas regulamentadas de compra e venda da força de trabalho.

The purpose of this dissertation is to try to apprehend the changes generated by the productive restructuring process in the telecommunications sector, more specifically in the company CTBC Telecom, and to verify the impacts of this trend, mainly on the labor market. The periodization adopted comprises the years between 1988 and 1998, a period that concentrated the greatest changes in the sector and in the company studied. Without disregarding the conjunctural problems experienced by the country in recent years, the study made it possible to explain the fundamental axes of how the company's strategy has been and has been taking place in the face of all these transformations, showing that also at CTBC Telecom, following a global logic, the Productive investment is also intensive in capital and not in labor, and that the impacts arising from the restructuring process have been destructive for the labor market in terms of regulated forms of purchase and sale of the labor force.
