A presente dissertação compreende a elaboração, através da utilização do S o ftw a re ”C iv il S u r v e y ”, do mapeamento da profundidade da superfície freática (superfície potenciométrica) do setor central da malha urbana da cidade Uberlândia - MG, baseado nos dados de sondagens. Trata também da revisão bibliográfica sobre os conceitos gerais que envolvem a movimentação das águas subsuperfíciais, o método de sondagem a percussão ou de simples conhecimento SPT {Standard Penetration Test) utilizado para investigação geotécnica e do nível d'água no subsolo e as metodologias de elaboração de mapeamentos.
The present dissertation elaborates a mapping of the phreatic line (phreatic water levei, potential surface) of Uberlândia (MG) downtown central zone, based on the Standard Penetration Test (SPT). A bibliografic revision is also introduced conceming general concepts, underground water flow and the "SPT METHOD", a very importante geotechnical and underground investigation.
