The present study aims to explore the relationship between indiscipline, bullying, and depression, as well as to investigate the interactions between classroom climate and family dynamics in students from the 7th to the 12th grade. The objective is to understand how these variables interconnect and influence the school, family, and emotional contexts of adolescents, contributing to the development of scientific knowledge and the design of effective educational interventions. The sample consists of 154 students from Ruy Luís Gomes Secondary School, located in the parish of Laranjeiro, in the municipality of Almada, within the Lisbon metropolitan area. Participants are aged between 10 and 19 years (M = 15.2), with 54.5% identifying as female and 45.5% as male. Most students are of Portuguese nationality (75.3%), followed by Brazilian (19.5%), with a small representation of other nationalities. Regarding educational level, students are distributed across lower and upper secondary education, with the highest percentages in the 8th (28.6%) and 9th grades (24.7%). This is a quantitative study. Data were collected through a sociodemographic questionnaire and several validated instruments: the Multidimensional Peer Victimization Scale (MPVS), the Family Adaptability and Cohesion Evaluation Scale (FACES II/III), the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI-II), the Social Support Satisfaction Scale (ESSS), the Childhood Trauma Questionnaire – Short Form (CTQ-SF), and the Classroom Emotional Climate Assessment Scale. Findings reveal significant relationships between bullying victimization, indiscipline, depression levels, family support, childhood trauma, and classroom climate. Less cohesive family environments and negative classroom climates were associated with higher levels of victimization, indiscipline, and depressive symptoms. These results highlight the crucial role of schools in promoting mental health and positive peer interactions, reinforcing the need to implement prevention and intervention programs tailored to the educational context of adolescents.
