The objective of the present work is support the determination of the maintenance plan of the component identified as the most critical of a company that produces consumer goods by positioning it along the bathtub curve. The concepts of maintenance, the types of intervention and their characteristics, the probability distribution functions useful for reliability analysis e TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) methodology were reviewed throughout the study. The chosen research method was the modeling and the procedure used was the quantitative analysis of the failure history and repair time of the components. From this analysis, it was possible to calculate the availability of the components and thus recognize the Placement Component of the Palletizer equipment as the most critical one. With the aid of the Weibull ++ software for life data analysis, corrective intervention was found to be the most adequate due to the fact that this component is placed in the infant mortality phase of the bathtub curve
