A produção enxuta é uma filosofia de gestão procedente do sistema Toyota de produção, que visa entregar o máximo de valor em termos produtivos com o mínimo de recursos utilizados. Para tanto, tal filosofia tem como objetivo, analisar e reduzir desperdícios, guiando sua análise por meio da observação dos sete principais desperdícios presentes no setor industrial, sendo eles: super-produção, tempo de espera, transporte, excesso de processamento, inventário, movimentação e defeitos. Há uma crescente necessidade das empresas para se manterem competitivas no mercado, dessa forma otimizar os processos produtivos constituem uma alternativa para redução de custos, em especial otimizar a disposição de máquinas e o fluxo de produtos e pessoas. A otimização do layout traz resultados expressivos na redução de gastos com a produção com um baixo investimento. Esse trabalho tem como objetivo demonstrar a análise de layout de uma empresa do ramo vidreiro, a proposta de modificação e sua implementação demonstrando os ganhos provenientes da mudança
Lean manufacturing is a management philosophy derived from Toyota Production System, which aims to deliver the maximum value in terms of production using minimum resources. Therefore, this philosophy has as objectives, to analyze and reduce waste, conducting analyses thought the observation of the seven main waste of the industrial sector, being themselves: overproduction, waiting, transport, over-processing, inventory, motion and defects. An increasing need of the companies to keep the competitively in the market. In this way, the optimization of the production process, constitutes an alternative to cost reduce, especially to optimize the arrangement of the machines and the flow of materials and workers. The layout optimization brings expressive results in the reduction of production spent with a lower investment. The goal of this paper is to show the layout analysis of a company of the glass industry, the changing proposal and the implementation showing the earnings that arise from the changes
