The culture of banana, stands out for being the economic base of some countries and is still one of the most consumed fruits in the world. However, there are still large losses in post-harvest banana, mainly caused by fungi, among which stands out as the primary pathogen Colletotrichum musae, the causal agent of anthracnose in postharvest banana. The control of postharvest diseases is usually carried out with fungicides at pre- and post-harvest. However, the pressure of the consumer market, fruit free of chemicals, encourages the search for alternative control methods without using these chemicals. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of canola and mustard extracts guinea, in control of Colletotrichum musae. The extracts were obtained using the simple forms of aqueous maceration and aqueous extraction under 5 concentrations, which were 0, 3, 6, 9 and 12%. The two forms of extraction, at all doses, showed some control over the pathogen when compared to the control, 0% dose. The extract showed better control on mycelial growth of the pathogen, was the simple aqueous extract of canola.
