Este estudo teve como propósito verificar se a aplicação de projeto temático auxilia na aprendizagem significativa da disciplina de química no ensino médio e constatar se os alunos estabelecem relações entre os conteúdos ensinados em sala de aula e as práticas presentes no cotidiano. Neste trabalho, foram enfocados também assuntos relacionados com a preservação do meio ambiente, como reaproveitamento de materiais o que levará o aluno a ter uma visão mais crítica dos impactos causados ao meio. Como forma de avaliação foram elaborados dois questionários voltados para o assunto a ser trabalhado no projeto temático. Estes tinham como principal objetivo avaliar o conhecimento do aluno antes e após a aplicação do projeto. Após a análise dos questionários foi possível confirmar que a aplicação de projetos temáticos contribui para a aprendizagem significativa dos alunos, além de aumentar o interesse destes pela disciplina de química.

This study had as purpose to verify if the implementation of thematic project assists in meaningful learning of the discipline of chemistry in high school and to realize if the students establish relationships between the content taught in the classroom and practices present in everyday life. In this work, were also addressed issues related to the preservation of the environment such as reuse of materials which will lead the student to have a more critical view of the impacts caused in the environment. As a form of assessment were prepared two questionnaires geared for the subject to be worked on the project. These had as main objective to evaluate the student's knowledge before and after the implementation of the project. After the analysis of questionnaires was able to confirm that the application of thematic projects contributes to the meaningful learning of students, in addition to increasing the interest of these by the discipline of chemistry.
