Descrição
This paper introduces the inverse ZLindley (IZL) distribution, an extension of the Lindley and ZLindley families for modeling lifetime data and complex reliability systems. The model captures right-skewed data and nonlinear hazard patterns, including the inverse-bathtub shape. Its main analytical properties are derived, and the uncertainty analysis shows that the shape parameter controls system variability. Four classical estimation methods are compared in a Monte Carlo study, which identifies the most efficient estimator. Finally, the practical value of the model is illustrated through three real datasets from different fields.
