It is no secret that the us age of Social Site Network (SNS)has become part of our daily life over the last 10 years, with Instagram being the second most used and most engaged social media nowadays. Indeed, the popular photo-sharing network grew tremend ously and continues to expand its horizons, with an average of 1 billion monthly users.Throughout this study, we are taking a closer look to how Instagram useand appearance-related comparisonimpact the body image of Moroccan women. Using a quantitative study, this paper reports what 148young Moroccan females aged mainly between 18 and 24 years old, think about Instagram, and how it affects their own perception of their bodies, and consequently how satisfied they are about their physical appearance compared to other persons from the same gender. The results are aligned with similar previous researches, proving that appearance comparisons performed on Instagram do indeed lead to body dissatisfaction among the participants.
