About RCAAP

The RCAAP portal aims to collect, aggregate and index open access scientific content from institutional repositories and scientific journals of national higher education institutions and other research and development (R&D) organisations.

Search and Discovery

The portal serves as a central point for searching, discovering, locating and accessing thousands of national scientific and academic documents, including:

• Journal articles
• Conference papers
• Theses and dissertations

These materials are made available through a wide range of Portuguese repositories and journals. The list of aggregated resources can be consulted in the Directory.

Development and Support

The RCAAP portal is one of the core components of the Portuguese Open Access Scientific Repositories initiative . The current version of the portal was developed based on the La Referencia network platform.

The search interface is based on VuFind and was developed within the framework of the National Programme for Open Science and Open Research Data (PNCADAI), funded by measure RE-C05-i08 – More Digital Science of the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP).
