The impact of artificial intelligence on the resource-based view: A bibliometric review analysis
| Resumo: | Business landscapes are constantly evolving due to the complex nature of our current society. A key factor for it is the ongoing development of new technologies, with Artificial Intelligence becoming a hot topic for development over the last decades. Taking into consideration the strategic management of resources by organizations, it has become mandatory the incorporation of AI elements in day-to-day practices to reach competitive advantage. Nevertheless, there is a lack of extensive research on this subject, and this study aims to analyze the current state of knowledge, identify research gaps, and observe evolving patterns on the relationship between the Resource-Based View and Artificial Intelligence. To conduct this research, a bibliometric analysis was made using Scopus database to retrieve scientific articles between 2019 and 2023. VOSviewer was used to visualize relations and conceptual maps between topics based on the literature from Scopus database. Thus, this study contributes to a better understanding of how artificial intelligence impacts the resource-based view and how organizations are implementing AI strategically to reach competitive advantage. |
