Detalhes bibliográficos
Resumo:The identification of gifted and talented students, as well as the intervention with them, has roused a growing interest in the academic and educational community. Creativity has been a criterion considered not only in the diagnosis of high abilities, but also in the enrichment programmes that stimulate its development through cognitive processes and favourable attitudes for creative production. In this paper we describe the procedure adopted, during an enrichment programme, related to creative production, more precisely, writing short children's stories. The participants were 19 students who attended the 2nd cycle of the Portuguese basic education and were considered more able students when taking assessment criteria for creativity, cognition, general intelligence and academic achievement. We describe and discuss the analysis script of creative products that was used. We also comment the difficulties in the evaluation of the students' productions, and we present some clues for new researches and the improvement of this resource for assessment of creativity.
