Consideraciones ergonómicas de las salas de clases en escuelas Portuguesas de primer ciclo
| Resumo: | The main purpose of this work that is under development is to design classrooms for Cycle students in Portugal, considering ergonomic criteria. At present, working is being done on one of the specific objectives that consists in defining the dimensions of the furniture for above mentioned students. The sample so far includes 432 volunteer students of 9 schools, aged 6 to 10 years. The methodology defined a group of 13 anthropometrical variables taken by means of a previously validated anthropometrical chair. According to results obtained so far, it is important to highlight that the sample shows a normal distribution and exists a strong Pearson’s correlation between height variable and a group of variables, among which popliteal height, gluteo-popliteal distance and sitting height stand out. On the other hand, in order to allow students to sit correctly, the use of 4 types of furniture is necessary. In conclusion, the results of this work will allow, among other things, to determine measures necessary to develop school furniture that so far is of four types, which differs widely from the two seen in practice. |
