Data management in a smart campus project: an ontological approach

Ver documento

Detalhes bibliográficos
Resumo:Smart campuses are becoming a focus of attention in recent years, with the advent of the internet-of-things (IoT) paradigm. This concept allows for educational institutions to improve their services and management practices by combining the IoT infrastructure with data analytic. But this trend also comes with challenges regarding the quality of the data and the way the information is portrayed to the user. This paper presents a new smart space ontology to satisfy the criteria of a smart campus project. This ontology can model the relationship between entities related with environmental data and anonymous tracking of campus users.
