Detalhes bibliográficos
Resumo:This study examines the relationship between organizational culture (OCu), job satisfaction (JBS), and organizational commitment (OCo) in Indian hospitality and tourism higher education institutions (HEIs) using the OCTAPACE framework. Grounded in Social Exchange, Organizational Support, and OCu theories, it assesses cultural influences on commitment directly and via JBS. Data from 386 teaching and non-teaching staff were collected through stratified purposive sampling, using validated scales and acknowledging limitations from the lack of a central database. Analysis employed Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM). Results show that OCu significantly enhances JBS and commitment, with JBS partially mediating this link. Findings offer actionable insights for HR policy, leadership strategies, and employee retention in service-oriented academic contexts.
