Resumo:The Floragri- Floricultura e Agriculturax is a cut flower production of gerbera hybrid in a 2.5ha’s greenhouse. It has a good technological level and I’ve been doing there an internship for 9 months. This work describes some of my activities, such as monitoring the plantation, controlling the irrigation and fertilization systems, the introduction of the beneficial fauna, the chemical treatments and the quality control during the harvesting. The main cultural operations have been selected - the cultivars selection, the installation system, the plantation, the irrigation and fertilization, the most important pests and diseases and the harvesting and post-harvesting. Using the bibliography it’s described the techniques and procedures used in the firm. Some advices and alternative solutions are given so that some things can be improved. The firm shows a good technical level in Gerbera’s production, a high production and a distinguish quality. However it was verified that there are some opportunities to introduce some improving production techniques to make possible improve the quality and specially do reduce the costs.
