Reestruturação do Portal de Ciências
| Resumo: | The Lisbon University Faculty of Sciences website provides it’s comunity members the news, information, and services made available by the institution, making it very important that it adheres to the web acessibility guidelines and usability norms. With the content management system used in the website: Drupal 7’s end-of-life approaching, a system update has become unavoidable. The faculty’s administration has decided to broaden the scope so that this upgrade includes the renewal of the system’s interface and information architecture, as well as removing the services hosted in the website. These services must be migrated to a new platform built to be the centre of all service related information. This project includes requirement gathering, prototyping and interface design, as well as the migration of all the information pertaining to the services made available by Ciencias ˆ to the new website - BalcaoC. This website offers a way to present its users with all the in- ˜ formation on the services and allow the filling of forms to start the service requests. This platform allows the Ciencias service units to add and edit services as a way to make sure ˆ all the information stays updated. It offers its users with an accessible interface where they can refer to information about their services, or leave a request. The new website was evaluated on its accessibility and information architecture, as well as met all the requirements made by the Faculty of Sciences, thus fulfilling the institution’s and its members’- the users - demands. |
