| Resumo: | The report "Thinking about Painting and Teaching in Visual Arts" presents a six-month investigation into the teaching of painting in the context of Faculty of Fine Arts of Lisbon FBAUL, observing the construction of plastic and pictorial thinking, the creative process in art and the methods of teaching painting practiced in the university environment. The research involves observation, practice and reflection from the perspective of the teaching artist, who builds experiences in Art and Art Education using the philosophical concepts of John Dewey (2010, 1979) as a basis.
