Detalhes bibliográficos
Resumo:This master thesis aims to examine how fashion companies execute the transition to circular business models relying on preowned apparel. Through a qualitative approach, I conducted a comparative case study on four fashion firms operating in different geographical markets that have or are working towards circularity within their business operations. Using the dynamic capabilities framework with a focus on microfoundations, the findings suggest that there are common skills, processes, procedures, organizational structures, decision rules and disciplines that are relevant to fashion companies in the successful implementation of preowned apparel. Additionally, the different ways in which used fashion can be integrated potentially reveals common and unique challenges and opportunities for the industry.
